What?! I went to Melbourne?!

Guess what?
I booked my flight ticket 6 days before departure.
Cool? Yes! haha

The timeline goes like this:
7 June - Book flight ticket
8 June - Tell my parents
9 June - Last day of ACCA exam
10 June - Interview
11 June - More interviews
12 June - Interview (but I chose not to go XD)
13 June - Depart to Melbourne!

I can remember how excited I was once I paid for the flight ticket. What I can't remember is how did I focus on my last ACCA paper. Hopefully it goes well since it's the second time sitting for that paper.

Due to the my *ehem* busy schedule, I only pack my luggage on the day before departure. I asked quite a few people around me to lend me their winter jacket as I don't have any. At last, I manage to get them from my mum's friend. Thank you very much aunty!

Slightly too much for hand carry?
My accompany for the trip.

My parents fetch me to KLIA2, the new airport. It's much better than LCCT. In fact, incomparable.

And tadaa! Arriving in Melbourne after the 8-hour flight! [8.30a.m.]
It was around 10°C when I arrive in Melbourne. Cold!

Took the Skybus from the airport to the Southern Cross Station. My cousin picked me up from there and then we went to the Queen Victoria Market. This is definitely one of my favourite place in Melbourne, so nice to walk around there and hunt for food. I went there 3 times in total during the trip.

Hotdog from Bratwurst Shop & Co. I had the spicy bratwurst with mustard and cheese and onion which is reaaalllyy good!
Latte from Market Lane Coffee. So good!
The first day was basically walking around the city. Oh! I don't remember how it happened but out of a sudden I started feeling unwell. Feel like vomiting and I keep running to the toilet. It always happen to me when I travel. I guess it's unavoidable for me. Probably need some time to get used to the environment.

The St. Paul Cathedral.
Walking by the Yarra River.
After some walk, headed back to my cousin's apartment and went for dinner. Had pho for dinner. I was still really blur on the first day and didn't know where I went for dinner haha. Btw, it's so interesting that they put raw beef in the bowl and just letting it cook in the hot soup. The spring roll and the cabbage is super crispy.

Day 2

A beautiful Sunday morning!
Spent the first half of the day relaxing in my cousin's house. Look what I had for morning tea? Blue cheese. I'm always a cheese lover but this is my first time trying this. The taste is stronger than the usual cheddar/parmesan/mozzarella I tried before. I finish the whole block of cheese and all those crackers! haha

Blue cheese with crackers.

Next stop, South Melbourne Market.

One of the reason I like Melbourne: Coffee
The coffee there is really nice. It's like any random cafe you stop by will give you good quality coffee and it usually costs $3.50. My second cup of latte in Melbourne.
Latte + brownie from Padre Handcrafted Coffee.
The reason I was at this market is for this! Fresh oysters. So fresh so yummy so good so nice so juicy
It's really good. I can't believe I only had 2 of these. I should have eaten more. They are sooooo good.
Fresh oysters at $1 each.
After satisfying my stomach, the sightseeing begins. Three of us (Eyo, Rong Bin and I) took the tram down to St. Kilda.
Luna Park
The tram stops right infront of Luna Park. We took a short walk and saw this beautiful beach. The view is really nice.

After that, we took the train to Brighton. The walk from Brighton station to the location where the bathing boxes were located is kinda far. Once we reach there, it was already dark. The colourful bathing boxes look nice and if the sky wasn't that dark we could have taken many photos there.

I regret for not taking more photos there >.< The sky is actually a lot darker than this. I wonder why it appears to be so bright in these photos.

Later, we went to the St. Kilda Pier for penguins. The journey there is quite interesting. We took the train and it appears that we were at the wrong station. Walked very very far to arrive at this place and we were all so exhausted. Everything is worth it when we see penguin! I think we are considered lucky as we can see penguin by the time we arrive. They are really small and cute!

Penguins.
After that, we went back to the city to hunt for food. It was so difficult to look for food as it was a Sunday. Some of the shops weren't open on Sundays. End up we had some not really good yet expensive Korean food.

There goes my first 2 days in Melbourne.

Stay tuned. More updates soon!

Turning point

I guess I should blog about my Melbourne trip. The coolest thing that I've ever done! The 9 days in Melbourne is the most unforgettable ones in my life. I was really really glad to have that getaway from my very stressful life. (At least I think it is stressful) It feels really good to be in a city which is totally different.
I also got the chance to think what I really want in my life. After all the bad things that happened to me, the feeling of insecurity almost damage my life. And myself as well? I don't know but I felt so bad during that period. It's the worst time in my life.
Now I'm fine! I manage to persuade myself not to think about it anymore! Although I don't think I will be able to do it, at least I try. To you: I will move on!

This post is super random and meaningless. No idea what I wrote.
